Half Day Treatment Program

Need comprehensive support with drug or alcohol addiction but can’t put your life on hold? Our half day treatment program gives you the best of both worlds. Get intensive treatment during the day, then go home to your own bed at night. It’s a level of care that works best for those who are stepping down from full day treatment and/or those looking for a more flexible schedule due to work, family, or other life responsibilities.

What Makes Day Treatment Different

Think of day treatment for addiction as rehab without the beds. You'll get the same intensive therapy, medical support, and recovery tools you'd find in residential treatment. The difference? You'll practice what you learn in the real world each day, with our team backing you up if things get tough.

What Happens in Half Day Treatment for Addiction

Throughout the week, you’ll be here working on your recovery. A typical day includes a mix of:

  • Morning check-in and goal setting

  • Group therapy sessions

  • Individual counseling

  • Addiction education

  • Life skills training

  • Recovery planning

  • Family sessions when needed

  • Case management help

  • Other support as needed

Between program hours, you’ll head home to practice your new skills, spend time with family and friends, work, or attend school. In short, you get to start building a life that supports your recovery on day 1.

Addiction Treatment That Actually Works

We don't waste time on the fluff. Our addiction treatment team has worked at rehabs, counseling centers, and hospitals near Boston and around the country. They know what works, and use proven approaches to give you what you need for lasting recovery. We don’t have all of your time, so we don’t waste any of it. What does that look like?

Therapy That Makes Sense

It’s not just about revealing every childhood memory. In addiction treatment therapy, you learn to spot and change harmful thinking patterns. That means building better ways to handle stress and frustrations, improving your relationships, and planning for life’s challenges. You can do it all without drugs or alcohol, and we’ll show you how.

Real-World Recovery Skills

In Half day treatment, you start practicing your skills from the start. Long before you leave, you’ll learn how to handle triggers without using, manage cravings, deal with problems sober, build healthy routines, fix sleep issues, navigate work challenges, rebuild trust with friends and family, and more.

Who Needs Half Day Treatment

For some people, residential rehab is the best fit for their addiction. Others can successfully address problem drinking or drug use without going to live in a rehab program. Half day treatment is appropriate for those who have a genuine desire to get better and who currently live in a supportive home environment. We will provide the structure and support without the lockdown. This is a perfect option for those who are looking for more than therapy and need flexibility so they can attend school, work, or care for family. If you need even more support, our Full Day Treatment program may be appropriate.

Medical Support When You Need It

While we're not a hospital, we can help you navigate medical issues like medication management, post-withdrawal care, mental health support, crisis intervention, medical care referrals, and more. Recovery means healing everything.
